Gary with Detail Developments is extremely likeable, always positive, very thorough, and completed our project on time and within budget. We never felt like we were bothering him or that our questions were dumb, not welcome, or considered trivial. He has a great sense of humour that made the whole process enjoyable. The final result surpassed our expectations, and we are thrilled. Detailed Developments handled every part of the building of our addition, which included a double garage, home office, 2 bathrooms with built in cabinetry, and a large custom shower. He also built us a huge outdoor living space/deck. We live in a 70s bi level; these are notoriously difficult to expand and Gary and his team handled the challenges that came along with that beautifully. He was excellent at communicating, really listened to our needs and wants and was full of fabulous ideas. He offered many options and was clear about the cost of each one, billing was transparent with no hidden fees. My husband and I have done other renovations and worked with other trades people and had positive experiences, but Gary was the only person that I have felt really did treat our home like it was his own. One thing that stuck out to us also was that all the trades guys spoke highly and seemed to really like and respect Gary. He has high standards and expects every detail to be done properly, right down to cleaning up our landscaping and leaving the job site spotless and better than when his crew arrived. We have already recommended Gary to three friends who have used his services and had the same fabulous experience. Final thought: throughout the process, Gary kept checking in and making sure we were happy and really wanted us to love the finished project. Anytime we have required home repairs Gary is the very first person I now always call. He provides fast and courteous service. He has tackled our deck which was in total disrepair with rotting major posts and replaced them from the walk out basement level to the second story. He replaced them with metal beams so we never have to worry about wood rot again. Then the old stucco required a total repair and Gary was able to have it totally matched to the existing much older stucco – design and all. This past summer we required our exterior to undergo patching and decided on a new paint and updated exterior paint color. Gary was again able to bring a painter in who did a phenomenal job and made our house look so much more modern and newer. Being in Kelowna for a long time Gary has the best trades people who can get the job completed in a timely fashion. Gary stays on top of each project from start to finish and oversees all the trades people to ensure the work is being completed to the highest standards. Gary did a major reno which was a total gut job of a bathroom in our home and took it right down to the studs. It was transformed from an ugly outdated bathroom to one that feels like a luxurious spa. Gary is one who oversees every person coming into your home to work under his direction and makes certain the work is completed to his exacting and very high standards. He is a hands on contractor and does not appear at the beginning of the project and then disappear. My only regret is I did not discover Gary of Detailed Developments when we first moved to Kelowna. We hired a supposedly top notch contractor and were disappointed in their work as they cut corners and some projects required money to repair their mistakes. We have NEVER had any issues working with Gary and cannot write a long enough testimonial to praise his work ethic, standards and exceptional work in transforming everything from dated to outstanding. You will not regret hiring this contractor. He is very trustworthy and will bring your design dreams to reality and within your budget.

Gary and his team are AMAZING! Detailed Development has done everything from a major kitchen renovation, putting in a beautiful inground pool (and deck), and a garage conversion.
